2007 Clinical and Scientific Research Grant Application


The Clinical and Scientific Research Grant provides financial assistance to members of ACFAS within the podiatric surgical arena that could otherwise not be funded. The purpose of this grant is to fund research with either direct or indirect impact on issues of interest to members of ACFAS.  This research may be clinical or laboratory based, with clearly defined research goals meeting all the criteria for grant submission.

Criteria

  • At least one of the investigators must be a member of the ACFAS in good standing.
  • Semi-annual status reports must be submitted to the ACFAS.  Grant recipients not in compliance may be requested to refund award monies.
  • Only studies that meet EBM Levels of Evidence 1, 2 or 3 will be considered for funding.

Grant Award

Up to $20,000.  One half of the grant money is payable within four weeks following announcement/acceptance of the award and submission of receipts; the second half is payable upon completion of a publishable paper submitted to the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
