ACFAS has different levels of membership – Fellow, Associate Member, and Resident. Once a doctor becomes ABPS Board Certified, there is an application to upgrade membership from Associate to Fellow.

- Be actively engaged in practice no more than 20 hours per week, or have been forced inro curtailment of practice because of illness (submission of written statement from physician, other than self, is required), AND
- Maintain Certified, Qualified or Retired status with the American Board of Podiatric Surgery (ABPS)

International Affiliate Status
Are you a like-minded surgeon – a non-DPM practicing outside of the United States and Canada? ACFAS recently created the International Affiliate status. The College hopes that by fostering relationships with our global counterparts, new and unique perspectives can be shared cross-culturally, growing the collective wisdom of our specialty in North America and overseas. A global College is a win-win for every ACFAS member, our new International Affiliate colleagues, and ultimately for the patient…in every corner of the world.

Cost:
- The annual fee to become an International Affiliate of ACFAS is US$175. This is for affiliate status from January thru December. The cost is prorated in July to half-price, or US$87.50.
