The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons develops Clinical Consensus Statements (CCSs) to provide physicians with a recommended approach to the treatment of specific conditions and pathology. A CCS represents the collective opinions of a convened expert panel.
The current library of ACFAS CCSs were formerly titled Clinical Practice Guidelines, and then retitled CCSs in 2012 since they are no longer met the CPG development standards of the Institute of Medicine. ACFAS intends to develop and publish more CCSs in the near future. Note: The following statements are still titled "CPGs" but should not be considered as such.
