ACFAS Division 7 New Officers Elected

Dear Members of ACFAS Division 7:

Thank you for taking part in Division 7's recent election of new Division officers. The results are in and the new officers for Division 7 are:

President-Elect:                    Bruce Kaczander, DPM

Secretary/Treasurer:            Daniel Zahari, DPM

Congratulations to Drs. Kaczander and Zahari!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the candidates for their interest and dedication to ACFAS. Their willingness to run for these positions is a tribute to their commitment to the College and the profession.

I would also like to thank Drs. Michael Gerber, John Evans, and Larry Fallat for their contributions to Division 7, as they step down as officers after a busy and successful year. They have given a lot of their personal time and energy into creating ACFAS programming in Michigan, and their efforts are greatly appreciated.

Please watch for further communication about Division 7 activities coming soon.

Sincerely,

Michael Ambroziak, DPM
President, ACFAS Division 7 - Michigan

Division Goals for First Half of 2012

  • Increase member involvement, with the focus on the areas outside of SE Michigan
  • Local meetings and high-quality lectures around the state

Dues

A portion of ACFAS member dues is allocated for Division activities. Divisions use these funds to further the goals of ACFAS at the state and local level: to promote the superior care of foot and ankle surgical patients through education, research and promotion of the highest professional standards. Divisions also work on outreach to students and residents, helping to give them a successful start in their careers as foot and ankle surgeons.

Divisions are affiliate organizations of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons; they are granted a charter and license to use the ACFAS name and logo. They are mandated by their own articles of incorporation and bylaws, and remain separate entities from the parent organization.

For more information about Division activities, please contact Michelle Brozell, Director of Membership.
