Program Summary / Training Goals:

  • Be involved in clinical and basic research projects
  • Research leading to publication of at least one manuscript
  • Participate in hospital educational lecture series
  • Participate in clinical conferences, seminars and journal clubs
  • Attend and lecture at Heartland Podiatry Conference
  • Take primary call one day per week and two weekends per month with staff coverage for trauma
  • Take secondary trauma call when not on primary call
  • Maintain weekly office hours in clinic
  • Function as independent surgeon on less advanced procedures
  • Manage patients admitted to service
  • Participate in daily rounds
  • Document and maintain proper medical records
  • Be involved in student education
  • Attend ACFAS Annual Scientific Conference
