Does Your Practice Under-Estimate the Value of Patient Satisfaction Survey Information?
Basic to the success of any practice are satisfying patients and thoroughly understanding their needs. Addressing patient needs also is the basis of all quality management programs. An effective way to ascertain their satisfaction is by asking patients to check off a few boxes in a survey.

High patient satisfaction levels documented by ongoing surveys can be very effective tools to help you gain access to a new plan or to convince a carrier not to drop you from a plan in which you are already participating. If you are locked into a plan with unreasonably low fees, survey data documenting the value-added services you have provided their enrollees can be a deciding factor in securing higher payments for your services since the carrier will not want to lose you. Also, if an employer is dropping a plan to switch to one in which you are not now participating, survey data demonstrating exemplary patient services by your practice can quickly lead to employer support toward assuring that your practice be included in that plan’s participating network.
