A course for first-year medical students entitled "Introduction to Critically Reading and Evaluating the Medical Literature" which is designed to teach the students how to identify good clinical research and apply the research to practice. At the end of that course, most of the students write a systematic review on some clinical topic.  Several evidence-based algorithms for use in Dr. Flaherty’s clinic.
