ACFAS encourages members to understand the importance of clinical research and to incorporate it in to their practices through evidence-based medicine (EBM). The US Bone & Joint Decade Research Committee offers a grant mentoring program consisting of workshops to provide early-career basic and clinical investigators an opportunity to work with experienced researchers in our field to assist them in securing funding and other survival skills required for pursuing an academic career.
