Speaker: Michael Vaardahl, DPM, FACFAS, Podiatry Residency Resource Representative, American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS); Residency Director, North Colorado Medical Center
Dr. Michael Vaardahl received his doctorate in podiatric medicine from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida.  He is board-certified in foot surgery and rear foot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow Member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. In addition to treating many foot and ankle pathologies, Dr. Vaardahl also specializes in diabetic foot care and wound care. Dr. Vaardahl serves as the director of the North Colorado Medical Center Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency. He is also currently active in reviewing podiatric residency programs.

Dr. Melanie Violand serves as the Director of Podiatric Postgraduate Education and Clinical Education Director at Midwestern University Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Violand serves as a council member on CPME. In addition, Dr. Violand was recently appointed as a team chair for the Collaborative Residency Evaluator Committee (CREC).

Dale Deatsch has over 25 years of experience providing advisory services to health systems, academic medical centers, and payors. He specializes in reimbursement and revenue cycle services, including Medicare and Medicaid payment, managed care contracting, charge master maintenance, and pricing strategies. Dale has worked extensively in the academic medical center and teaching hospital environment addressing medical education reimbursement issues, as well as issues regarding accreditation compliance and grant funding.
