ACFAS On The Road: Complications

Occurring at three different regional locations across the country, ACFAS on the Road: Complications is a comprehensive seminar focusing on key challenges and obstacles found in the field of foot and ankle surgery. These two-day courses immerse practitioners in real-life case studies with firsthand experiences and panel discussions from topic experts.

Hands-On Education for Residents

Gain the tools you need for success with , October 6-7 in Jacksonville, Florida.

 

Co-chairs Michael Dujela, DPM, FACFAS and Johanna Richey, DPM, FACFAS will lead hands-on learning to understand basic principles needed for live surgery in the AO skill lab. Interactive case discussions and practical exercises will focus on the application of fixation techniques applicable to the foot and ankle, decision-making, management skills, and potential pitfalls.

 

Continuing on from the ACFAS Comprehensive Fixation for the Ankle and Foot: A Resident's Course, this course is jointly presented by ACFAS and AO North America and offers 14.75 CME credits. Learn more and register today.

Young Investigators Initiative Call to Action

The United States Bone and Joint Initiative (USBJI) will be hosting its Fall 2023 Young Investigators Initiative Workshop Friday September 29 – Sunday October 1, 2023 in Rosemont, IL.

 

The Young Investigator Initiative (YII) is a grant mentoring program that provides early-career investigators with an opportunity to work with experienced and supportive mentors on how to construct a well-founded research proposal and secure funding for basic, translational, or clinical research.

 

To date, over 288 participants have successfully obtained over $570 million in grants for nearly 2,000 new musculoskeletal research studies.
