Faculty Criteria and Application
Get involved with ACFAS' educational programs by applying to become an instructor/faculty member.
The College’s three educational program committees are responsible for developing the specialty’s most respected CME curriculum, including the annual conference, hands-on surgical skills courses, other single-topic seminars including practice management and regional symposia. They also develop content for podcasts, e-books, and other e-learning tools.
ACFAS always seeks to diversify its faculty with new instructors who possess the expertise and experience needed to maintain the College’s high standards and attendee expectations. A Board position statement outlines the variety of expectations and qualities considered in the speaker selection process (see below). Faculty members of the Annual Scientific Conference are provided free general registration and reimbursement of travel expenses. Surgical courses and symposia faculty are provided a modest honoraria and reimbursement of travel expenses.
