CHICAGO— February 24, 2010 –Glenn Weinraub, DPM, FACFAS was recently named president-elect of the 6,000-member American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). Dr. Weinraub was installed as president-elect at the ACFAS 68th Annual Scientific Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The ACFAS Annual Scientific Conference, the largest educational meeting for foot and ankle surgeons in the U.S., draws attendees from around the world to discuss the most current techniques and technology for treatment of deformities, diseases and injuries of the foot and ankle.

“I am looking forward to serving my term as president-elect of ACFAS as well as the following term as president. I believe these appointments will offer a greater opportunity for me to give back to the profession and help make advancements in the field for both my fellow colleagues and the patients we serve,” said Weinraub.

Dr. Weinraub practices with Kaiser Permanente Department of Orthopedic Surgery in Hayward and Fremont, Calif., with a focus on reconstructive surgery and trauma of the foot and ankle.

Dr. Weinraub earned his podiatric medical degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine, San Francisco, followed by surgical residencies at the Medical College of Virginia/ INOVA Hospital and Georgetown University Hospital. He is certified in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery.
