Dr. John Thomas Marcoux Honored with ACFAS’ Distinguished Service Award

LAS VEGAS (February 28, 2017) - Foot and ankle surgeon John Thomas Marcoux, DPM, FACFAS, of Sudbury, MA, is the recipient of the 2017 American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeon's (ACFAS) Distinguished Service Award, one of the College's highest honors. Dr. Marcoux is the fourteenth recipient of this distinguished honor and was presented with the award at ACFAS' Annual Scientific Conference in Las Vegas on February 28, 2017.

The ACFAS Board of Directors presents this award each year to recognize those members who volunteer their time, expertise and service behind the scenes to help enhance the College's mission to advance the profession of foot and ankle surgery for the benefit of the patients they serve.

"The ACFAS Board is proud to present Dr. Marcoux with this year's award," Sean Grambart, DPM, FACFAS, and President of the ACFAS Board of Directors, said. "Dr. Marcoux is a proven leader in the podiatric industry, not to mention a lifelong learner. Through his work, he exemplifies the College's mission and helps to improve the lives of the patients he serves," he added.

"The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons is a beacon of scientific discovery and best practice among fellow podiatric specialists, and I dedicate this award to my fellow members and their patients."

Dr. Marcoux is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon and serves as the Program Director of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton, MA. He is also a Fellow Member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
