Dr. Jordan Grossman to Serve as Secretary-Treasurer of National Surgical Society

CHICAGO— March 10, 2011-- In ceremonies today, Jordan P. Grossman, DPM, FACFAS was named secretary-treasurer of the 6,300-member American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). Dr. Grossman was installed as secretary-treasurer at the ACFAS 69th Annual Scientific Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The ACFAS Annual Scientific Conference, the largest educational meeting for foot and ankle surgeons in the U.S., draws attendees from around the world to discuss the most current techniques and technology for treatment of deformities, diseases and injuries of the foot and ankle.

“I am proud to have been elected to serve on the Board of Directors for ACFAS,” said Dr. Grossman. “ACFAS is an organization that is truly making a difference for the profession of foot and ankle surgery and I look forward to being a part of the collaboration that will continue the advancement,” said Dr. Grossman.

Dr. Grossman practices with Northeast Ohio Orthopaedic Associates and is board certified in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He serves as faculty for the Orthopaedic Residency Program at Akron General Medical Center and the Podiatric Surgical Residency Program at Kaiser Permanente/Cleveland Clinic.  Dr. Grossman also serves as a clinical assistant professor of podiatry in orthopaedic surgery at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine and is Chief, Section of Podiatry at Akron General Medical Center and St. Thomas Hospital/Summa Health System.

Dr. Grossman earned his podiatric medical degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, followed by a podiatric surgical residency at the Podiatry Hospital of Pittsburgh and fellowships at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh and at The University of Ulm, Germany.
