Phoenix - February 20, 2015- Lawrence A. DiDomenico, DPM, FACFAS, is the recipient of the 2015 American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeon's (ACFAS) Distinguished Service Award, one of the College's highest honors. Dr. DiDomenico is the twelfth recipient of this distinguished honor and was presented with the award at ACFAS' Annual Scientific Conference in Phoenix on February 20, 2015.
The ACFAS Board of Directors presents this award each year to recognize those members who volunteer their time, expertise and service behind the scenes to advance the College's mission.
"The Board is very pleased to be able to bestow Dr. DiDomenico with this year's award," Thomas S. Roukis, DPM, PhD, FACFAS, and President of ACFAS' Board of Directors, said. "Dr. DiDomenico's service and dedication to the College and his fellow members is inspirational to us all; he truly serves as a role model and mentor to all who have the privilege to work with him," he added.
Dr. DiDomenico is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon from Youngstown, Ohio and is a Fellow Member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.
