Dr. Than L. Dinh Elected President-Elect of National Surgical Society

SAN ANTONIO (February 20, 2020)-In ceremonies today, Thanh L. Dinh, DPM, FACFAS, took office as president-elect of the 7,700-member American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). The official induction took place at the ACFAS 78th Annual Scientific Conference in San Antonio.

The ACFAS Annual Scientific Conference, the largest educational meeting for foot and ankle surgeons in the US, draws attendees from around the world to discuss the most current techniques and technology for treatment of deformities, diseases and injuries of the foot and ankle.

"I am honored to embrace the role of ACFAS President-Elect during this exciting time of change and advancement of the profession," Dr. Dinh said. "The College continues to deliver exceptional educational opportunities allowing our members to consistently advance the quality of care provided to patients," she added.  

Dr. Dinh is a foot and ankle surgeon with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She is board-certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow Member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. 

Dr. Dinh holds a podiatric medical degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, and completed her residency at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, FL. She completed her podiatric surgical fellowship at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel. Dr. Dinh frequently lectures on foot and ankle surgery, and her research has been published in numerous journals and textbooks.
