Dr. Thanh Dinh Becomes President of National Surgical Society

CHICAGO, (March 25, 2021)-Thanh Dinh, DPM, FACFAS, took office as the 70th of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS), a national association of more than 7,800 foot and ankle surgeons. The official induction took place during its annual member business meeting, which was held virtually on March 4.

In accepting the role as president, Dr. Dinh shared, "It is an honor to lead the premier organization for foot and ankle surgeons forward as our members continue to provide extraordinary care to our patients."

Dr. Dinh is the third female president of ACFAS and a foot and ankle surgeon with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She is board-certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow Member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. 

Dr. Dinh holds a podiatric medical degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, and completed her residency at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, FL. She completed her podiatric surgical fellowship at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel. Dr. Dinh frequently lectures on foot and ankle surgery, and her research has been published in numerous journals and textbooks.
