Dr. Thanh L. Dinh Elected Secretary-Treasurer of National Surgical Society

NEW ORLEANS (February 15, 2019)-In ceremonies today, Thanh L. Dinh, DPM, FACFAS, took office as secretary-treasurer of the 7,600-member American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). The official induction took place at the ACFAS 77th Annual Scientific Conference in New Orleans.

The ACFAS Annual Scientific Conference, the largest educational meeting for foot and ankle surgeons in the US, draws attendees from around the world to discuss the most current techniques and technology for treatment of deformities, diseases and injuries of the foot and ankle.

"It is a genuine privilege to be involved in helping to advance our profession as a member of the Board of Directors of the College," Dr. Dinh said. "ACFAS' commitment to the profession, each individual member and to our patients is unwavering and I look forward to having the opportunity to further help shape our future," she added.

Dr. Dinh is a foot and ankle surgeon with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She is board-certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow Member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Dinh holds a podiatric medical degree from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami, and completed her residency at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, FL. She completed her podiatric surgical fellowship at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel. Dr. Dinh frequently lectures on foot and ankle surgery, and her research has been published in numerous journals and textbooks.
