New for 2026: Arthroscopy courses will run Friday afternoon through Saturday. These interactive two-day, hands-on courses are each led by a faculty of skilled arthroscopy surgeons and gives you the opportunity to learn and practice established and cutting-edge techniques in surgery for the foot and ankle.

The course features 9+ hours of hands-on laboratory time with the latest equipment and techniques on fresh cadaver specimens. Lecture presentations will be enhanced with videos of actual arthroscopic cases. There will be ample opportunity for interaction with faculty. One cadaver per two registrants.

This course is intended for Doctors of Podiatric Medicine in training. Some practicing surgeons may also find this course beneficial.

  • Identify and understand indications for arthroscopic foot and ankle surgery.
  • Effectively perform soft tissue techniques including synovectomy, fibrous band resection, and gutter debridement.
  • Perform resection of osseous impingement of the tibia and talus and retrieval of loose bodies
  • Approach, resect, and saucerize medial and lateral talar dome lesions.
  • Effectively perform arthroscopically assisted arthrodesis of the ankle and subtalar joints
  • Gain confidence with posterior ankle and subtalar joint arthroscopy including os trigonum excision
  • Appreciate, avoid, and manage the risks and complications of foot and ankle arthroscopy.
  • Engage in case-based discussions including the work up and management of commonly encountered pathology

The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons has approved this activity for a maximum of 12.5 continuing education contact hours.

California Radiology Credit: Every hour of lecture in scientific sessions can confer up to 0.5 hour of radiology credit.
