Dr. Christopher L. Reeves Elected Secretary-Treasurer of National Surgical Society

LAS VEGAS (February 28, 2017)-In ceremonies today, Christopher L. Reeves, DPM, MS, FACFAS, took office as secretary-treasurer of the 7,400-member American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS). The official induction took place at the ACFAS 75th Annual Scientific Conference in Las Vegas.

The ACFAS Annual Scientific Conference, the largest educational meeting for foot and ankle surgeons in the US, draws attendees from around the world to discuss the most current techniques and technology for treatment of deformities, diseases and injuries of the foot and ankle.

"It is an honor to continue to serve the foot and ankle surgery profession in an officer role on the ACFAS Board," said Dr. Reeves. "In this capacity, I will be directly involved in advancing the science for foot and ankle surgeons to improve podiatric health for patients entrusted to our care."

Dr. Reeves is a foot and ankle surgeon at Orlando Foot and Ankle Clinic. He is board-certified in both foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Reeves holds a podiatric medical degree where he graduated as valedictorian at Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, Florida, and completed his residency at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital/Temple University of Medicine Clinical Campus in Pittsburgh and the Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Reeves frequently lectures on foot and ankle surgery both nationally and internationally, and his research has been published in numerous journals and textbooks.
