Q: Where do I go to begin the submission process?
A: You can head to our submission portal HERE
Q: Is there a limit to how many posters or manuscripts I can submit?
A: No – There are no limits on how many original abstracts authors may submit. Please note that multiple submissions from the same research study will be declined.
Q: I see a list of tasks – that’s new! What do I need to do?
A: Yes, for 2027 we have moved to a new platform for submissions. Once you login with your ACFAS username and password, you will see a green button to begin a new abstract. Once you have selected that you are submitting for a poster or manuscript/oral presentation you will see a short list of tasks (e.g., ‘add authors’) to complete to successfully submit your research. Be sure to take your time on completing these tasks correctly. You can save your progress at any time and go back to work on it later if you wish. When you are finished, you need to click ‘submit’ to complete the process.
Q: What is the follow-up time for Case Studies?
A: The follow-up length needs to be at least 12 months prior to submission. In a case series, a mean follow-up length of more than 12 months does not itself qualify unless all patients had more than 12 months of follow-up.
Q: How do I know if my abstract has been accepted or declined?
A: All correspondence, including acceptance or declined notifications, will be sent to the author who submitted the abstract. It is their responsibility to communicate the outcome (and any other information) to their group of contributors.
Notifications will be sent out on December 3, 2026.
Q: Will I be able to make edits to my abstract after the October 13 deadline?
A: No. The site will be locked at 11:59pm (Central time) on October 13, 2026. Please plan accordingly. It is the responsibility of the submitting author to review and verify all work before that deadline. ACFAS staff will not grant requests for, nor make submission edits.
Q: My poster has been accepted for display at the conference – do I have to print it and bring it with me?
A: You are responsible for printing your poster and installing it on your designated board in the exhibit hall. You are welcome to print it yourself at FedEx, Office Max etc. or you can submit it to the ACFAS printing partner. They can print your poster and have it shipped to the conference for you to pick up at the Speaker Zone onsite. Details and more information can be found here: PosterPresentations
If you wish to ship your poster yourself – we strongly recommend you ship it to yourself at your hotel. Please do not ship to the convention center. ACFAS is not responsible for missing posters.
Posters printed in advance and shipped though our printing partners will be available for pickup from the Speaker Zone from 7:30am on Friday, March 12.
Q: I am a poster presenter – do I have to register for the conference?

A: Yes, all accepted abstracts will be reviewed and graded by a panel of judges.
