Two submitted manuscripts to an academic, peer-reviewed journal
per fellowship year; and two submitted posters to the ACFAS Annual Scientific Conference.
Program Summary/Training Goals:
The fellow will be exposed to
approximately 600 surgical procedures per fellowship year.
- The fellow will see outpatients at the
multiple offices of the Orthopaedic Institute of Central Jersey and occasional
in-patients at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, while performing most
surgical procedures at Northern Regional Monmouth Surgery Center.
- Surgical procedures will consist of a
full variety of Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgical Procedures, including
total joint replacement, arthroscopy, and trauma.
- The fellow will learn surgical and
office billing/coding and become familiar with management of workers
- The fellow will be expected to become
proficient in all reconstructive procedures, effectively manage in-patient and
all outpatient pathologies of the foot and ankle.
- The fellow will be expected to assist
and independently manage all foot and ankle patients of the Orthopaedic
Institute of New Jersey while participating in a foot and ankle ER call
- The fellow will prepare and present
