Research Requirements:    
  • One paper per year submitted to a peer reviewed publication.

Program Summary/Training Goals: 
  • Reconstructive foot and ankle surgery with a focus on external fixation.
  • Diabetic limb salvage management from office to hospital to surgical principles.
  • General/common podiatric procedures are performed regularly.
  • Weekly grand rounds with the group. 
  • A fellow's clinic will commence once the fellow has demonstrated good clinical skill set with the director. 
  • The fellow's clinic will consist of independent management of pre/post op patients as well as conservative care patients.  
  • The fellow is encouraged to learn proper surgical and clinical management to yield positively patient outcomes.
  • The work hours can be long but with the purpose of graduating a fellow that feels capable of handling any issue that presents to them.
