One paper submitted for publication; poster submission at the ACFAS Annual Scientific Conference.

Program Summary/Training Goals: 
  • This is a unique program focused on minimal invasive foot and ankle surgery. In this program, the fellow will gain expertise in minimal incision forefoot, midfoot, rearfoot and ankle procedures.
  • The fellow will be taught innovative techniques in minimally invasive oseotomies and arthrodesis.
  • The fellow will also be exposed to a large amount of reconstructive foot and ankle surgeries including frames and total ankle replacement.
  • The fellow will get clinical exposure in a busy podiatric surgical office and wound care center.
  • The fellow will learn appropriate billing and office management skills. 
  • The fellow will be involved with a podiatric surgical residency program with responsibilities in research and education.
  • With only four faculty, this program is designed to establish a strong but intimate program that offers the fellow constant mentoring and support. 
  • One research project and ACFAS poster submission are required.
