Application Deadline and Process:

  • ACFAS Standard Application and CV are due by February 1 of PGY-II Year.
  • Along with the standard application, please provide surgical log numbers from your PGY-2 year.
  • Applicants being granted an on-site visit will be notified by February 15.
  • On-site visits will be available March 1 - April 30.
  • Final fellow selection will be completed and candidates will be notified in early May.

Stipend:
$60,000 (plus benefits)

Redding, CA: Mercy Hospital, Shasta Regional Medical Center, Mercy Outpatient Surgery center, Apogee Surgery Center

Research Requirements:
Develop a research project of interest. Must be of publishable quality.


Program Summary/Training Goals:
The fellow will be exposed to a high-volume reconstructive foot and ankle practice, with a strong emphasis on total ankle arthroplasty and rearfoot/ankle reconstruction. There is significant exposure to foot and ankle trauma and sports medicine, as well. The fellow will also learn how to integrate into a large, busy orthopaedic practice. The fellow will be expected to become proficient in all facets of foot and ankle surgery, as well as being able to manage a busy foot and ankle clinic. There will be ample exposure to surgical and office billing, allowing for a complete, well-rounded fellowship experience.
