Program Summary/Training Goals:
This is a one-year fellowship position offering a wide range of Reconstructive Foot and Ankle surgery in a large Podiatric Group. High volume exposure to various surgical techniques with emphasis on clinical decision making among 10+ providers. To include: ankle joint replacement, Charcot reconstruction, peripheral nerve surgery, cavus/flatfoot reconstruction (pediatric and adult), revisional surgery both forefoot and rearfoot.
Secondary emphasis on practice management to include, but not limited to: evaluation of profit and loss statements, marketing strategies for maximizing return on investment, human resource fundamentals, operational efficiency, contract negotiation, principles of clinical trials and exposure to the retail shoe sector.
